Rev Beth Jackson began at SIBC in June 2016. You could try and guess her background from her accent, but you might find it tricky! A native of the USA, she confesses that she doesn’t really know how to ‘adult’ there. Beth did her first degree at Samford University, completed her MTh at the International Baptist Theology Seminary in Prague, Czech Republic, and is slowly slogging away at her PhD at IBTSC, Amsterdam. She has lived and ministered in churches in Scotland, Hungary, and the west of England. She now calls Australia home and admits to feeling quite at ‘home among the gum trees’.
Beth loves nothing more than journeying through the ups and downs of life with a faith community, trying to make sense of God’s story in the midst of our own. Beth loves SIBC because it seeks to a be a community that does just that.
Beth is married to Darrell, a lecturer in missiology at Morling College, and their children, Kai and Karys, make the Jackson home a more fun place to hang out.
